The book of Proverbs is full of Scriptures that speak of money, wealth, and prosperity. In the following verses issues are dealt with that have an impact on each of our lives. Please read them and ask God to reveal Himself in a deeper way to you!
Proverbs 3:1 - "My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years, and bring you prosperity."
3:9-10 - "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits its of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."
3:16 - "(find wisdom)... Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor."
8:17-18 - "I love those who love me (wisdom), and those who seek me find me. With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity."
8:21 - "...bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full"
10:22 - "The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and He adds no trouble to it."
11:24-25 - "One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but come to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed."
12:11 - "He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment."
21:5 - "The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty."
21:21 - "He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor."
There are also many verses that show us how to fail!
14:23 - "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."
6:9-11 - "How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man."
10:4 - "Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth."
13:11 - "Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow."
13:18 - "He who ignores discipline come to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored."
15:27 - "A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live."
21:17 - He who loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and oil will never be rich."
23:4-5 - "Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle."
I have not even begun to touch the many verses in Proverbs alone on this subject! If you are interested in more, look at: 23:20-21, 24:30-34, 25:21-22, 27:18,23-24, 28:8,13,19,20,22,25,27, 29:3, and 30:8-9! God is the one who is in control. If we follow Him and His ways, we will prosper. Not always in money, but in HIM.
